BONUTRON STUD G1-L6 is a nutritional supplement designed to meet the needs of mares during pregnancy and lactation. It is specifically enriched with calcium and vitamin D to support the healthy development of the foal. It can also be administered to nursing foals (up to 6 months of age). The use of BONUTRON STUD G1-L6 is particularly recommended during the final stage of pregnancy (from the 9th to the 11th month), as this is the period of the most significant fetal growth. BONUTRON STUD G1-L6 can also be used throughout the lactation period.

The diet of most mares is based on grazing. The ration may also include hay (in variable quantities depending on the size of the available pastures) and cereals, sometimes with the addition of processed animal feed. Additionally, sometimes the concentrate in the ration consists entirely of processed feeds. The requirements for cobalt, iron, and manganese are well covered by various rations, as is the case with vitamin A after the conversion of a portion of the β-carotene found in the feed. Other trace elements and vitamins, which depend primarily on the quality of the feed consumed, and when present, are not sufficient or in high enough quantities to meet the needs of the mare.
